How Insurance and calls works
- Log a call with what it was about, the date, who you called (Insurer, Employer benefits, Clinic billing, Pharmacy, Fertility benefit company or Other) and who you spoke with.
- Record the reference number, what they said and what happens next, and set a “follow up by” date if you need one.
- Mark a call resolved when it is done, or filter to see only the open follow-ups.
- Track preauthorizations with the service, a status from Not started to Approved, Denied or Appealing, the authorization number and how long it is valid.
- Fill in the plan summary with the plan name, last four digits of the member ID, group number, deductible and out-of-pocket figures. In your own signed-in space, use “Print for an appeal”.

Will HopeNest tell me what my plan covers?
No. These are numbers and notes you typed in, and the page says to check current details with your insurer. HopeNest never tells you what your plan covers.
Can I print my call log for an appeal?
Yes, in your own signed-in space. “Print for an appeal” gives you a printable view of your logged calls.
Is my insurance information private?
Yes. Only you can see these entries, unless you share this section. Insurance is not ticked by default when you invite someone.
