# HopeNest

> HopeNest is a free, private organizer for people going through fertility treatment and family building. It keeps appointments, treatment timeline, medications, care team, checklist, costs and insurance, and a journal in one calm place, and lets you share chosen sections with a partner. It is not a medical record and does not give medical advice. The site also publishes plain-language, source-cited educational articles, a hand-checked resource directory, free planning tools and guides.

## What it does
- Appointments, with optional AI-suggested prep questions (only the appointment title and type are sent).
- Treatment timeline, medications, care team and a checklist.
- Costs and insurance, so you can see what you have spent and what is covered.
- A private journal.
- Partner sharing: choose the sections, and they see them read only.
- Optional Quick capture: paste clinic notes, get suggested items, and nothing is saved until you tap Add.

## Who it is for
People going through fertility treatment or building a family (signup is open to adults), and the partners and support people they choose to share with.

## Privacy
- Nothing you enter is shared with anyone unless you choose to share it.
- Entry contents are encrypted in the database with a server-held key; the server can decrypt them to show them to you. This is not end-to-end encryption.
- No advertising pixels or session replay.
- The AI helpers are off unless you turn them on. When on, pasted text is sent through our own AI gateway to OpenAI, which does not train on it and may keep it up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
- Not a medical record, not medical advice, and no HIPAA compliance claim.
- You can export your active records or delete your account in Settings.
